Response to Recent Statements by Medical Poland

I am writing to formally address recent statements made by Medical Poland which I consider both concerning and intentionally damaging to the reputations and goodwill of its competitors. These assertions may constitute practices that fall within the scope of unfair competition.

Firstly, it is essential to emphasise that every applicant to any programme at a Polish university retains the unequivocal right to seek assistance from any educational agent or support service of their choosing, or to apply directly to the university. Regardless of the application route, candidates are entitled to equal and fair treatment, as mandated by applicable regulations governing Polish higher education institutions. No university may appoint a sole or exclusive official agent preventing direct applications. Numerous agents, including ourselves, have secured cooperation agreements with universities via transparent public procurement procedures. It has come to our attention that some applicants have been misled to believe otherwise. Such assertions are unequivocally false, and we encourage individuals to verify this directly with the respective universities.

Secondly, it is imperative to clarify that all application and tuition fees must be paid directly to the universities, and not to any intermediary agent—except for separate service fees that an agent may independently charge for their support. StudyMedicinePoland has never collected tuition fee payments.

By way of background, my engagement in representing Polish universities in Ireland commenced in 2010, when I established and led the Dublin branch of the University of Social Sciences. Through my work for the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Dublin, I met Mr. Adam Krawczyk, founder of Medical Poland. Following the company’s successful acquisition of its first university contract, he invited me to co-develop the venture. For several years, we jointly expanded the initiative as equal partners.

After mediation, in 2021, the company’s structure was reconfigured, and I became the holder of a 38% shareholding—an interest I currently continue to maintain (the company’s shareholder structure is publicly available). Throughout my tenure, I played an active role in both operational and strategic dimensions of the company.

In 2023, I became aware of serious issues including financial mismanagement and breaches of proper governance. I made numerous efforts to restructure Medical Poland and to resolve these issues internally. Regrettably, the majority shareholder declined to engage in any remedial collaboration or to settle outstanding company debts. Consequently, I feel compelled by ethical obligation to inform relevant stakeholders that there exists a tangible risk of creditors initiating legal proceedings seeking the dissolution and bankruptcy of Medical Poland. The nature of the misconduct has been fundamentally inconsistent with my professional principles and ethical standards, and I could not, in good conscience, remain associated with the company under such circumstances. I regret to report that the list of current creditors seem to include not only myself, but likely an Irish guidance counsellor, former employee, and local Irish business.

In response, and in order to continue offering ethical, reliable, and student-centred support to those pursuing studies in Poland, I established a new independent service: StudyMedicinePoland.com, which I have led since its inception. This service operates in full alignment with my core values of transparency, authenticity, and professionalism. We have been working not only with the Polish universities, but also academic tutors, directly with school Guidance Counsellors and hundreds of secondary schools to help students get truly impartial information and reliable, trustworthy support.

Should you require any further information or clarification, I am available to provide additional details where appropriate.

Sincerely,

Artur Banaszkiewicz
